Alien Covenant! I have questions! (Spoiler Alert)

By Corey Floyd

Friday night I went out to see Alien Covenant. It was very good. This was a sequel to the Prequel Prometheus. While Prometheus ranked in big bucks it raised a lot of questions and I was hoping we would get some answers in Covenant. We did a get few but we also have more questions. For starters why did you cut the dinner scene? During the promotion of the movie they put in a scene called “The Last Supper” is was well done and gave a great intro to our characters. Here it is you might have noticed James Franco in that clip as the captain. I know you didn't know he was in this movie either. This scene is not in the movie however, the movie starts with an accident that kill Franco’s character in a ball of fire literally. You also never get a real chance to meet the crew get to know them. So, Michael Fassbender is back but he’s not Adam? Right, in a very elaborate trailer they unveil his character like a new toy.  Meet Walter
The upgrade from Adam who is here to help the team. Unlike Adam Walter is not designed to be creative and have his own endeavors which put Adam on the genocidal path that he is on. Which brings me to this (Warning Graphic)
What the Hell is that thing? This creature is called a Neomorph and its origin is very unique in facts it's more dangerous than the face hugger. These guys got infected without even knowing it. What happened to the survivors of the Prometheus? The movie does give us a answer to that sadly it not a

happy one. But I will not give that away!!!
I want you guys to get off you butts and into the theatre. There are some flaws, characters gullible dumb, worst space captain ever. Which i find rather disturbing since there are some great writers for this film. Seems like they just got a little lazy. Also, but all in all I did have a very fun experience watching this film. If I watch it again the dissection will be brutal but it was better than the previous installment. But it left me without a full story which is a huge misstep. If i had to give this film a grade we’re looking at a B-. Next week I plan on hitting the high Seas for the 5th time. Make sure to like and follow us and hit up our youtube page. see ya soon.

Valerian and the city of 1000 planets(A Salty Review)

By Corey Floyd This summer we have been hit with a lot of movies as usual. But one of them I had so many questions about. This movie was Valerian. It’s based off a graphic novel. The film was written and directed by Luc Besson the mind behind The Fifth Element, Taken series and Transporter series. With a stellar trailer with beautiful visuals, you would think this was a cinematic slam dunk right?   While this film is very heavy with beautiful CGI visuals that tell a narrative without words when the main actors step they drag this film from the depths of space to a crappy SYFY movie. Our main character  Major Valerian is played by Dane DeHaan. Most people should remember him from The Amazing Spider Man 2 as Harry Osborn and Andrew Detmer from the hit film Chronicle. His co star is Cara Delevingne. She was the woman who played the Enchantress in the universally panned but financially successful Suicide Squad. I have a few problems with these two that affect this movie in a big way. Despit…

Made in Abyss Discussion

“This anime season was a little bit underwhelming”, those were my thoughts at the beginning of the season if I recall correctly. I did talk about three different shows of this season in my blog “The Anime Season So Far”, but let me say that “Gamers” didn’t quite recover after episode five, and “Tsurezure Children”, even though stay consistent, was still just a romance anime and if you are not into romance you were shit out of luck. So aside from two-day specials like “Owarimonogatari” or recurring anime like “Boku no Hero Academia” there wasn’t much out there, except for…

Of all the shows from this season, “Made in Abyss” was the one I waited for, every week, with the most anticipation. This show left such a mark on me that I have to talk about it, so I decided to create another segment like “The Anime Season So Far” and name it “The Final Episode”. In this segment, I’ll take a second look at one anime near the ending of a season, in which I’ll discuss…

BIG MOUTH!!! LOL ( Spoiler Free)

By Corey Floyd

About  a month ago I came across a trailer for Big  Mouth. It comes off as a cartoon about a group of kids hitting puberty. Which is sweet, awkward and Innocent. But then I heard that Nick Kroll ( The Kroll Show, the League) and John Mulaney I knew this was gonna be some wild stuff. This show is a very wild ride and I loved every minute. Let me break down why this is the show you need to see.
The cast consists of some of the funniest people on television. As I already mentioned Kroll & Mulaney are writers as well as two of the main characters Andrew & NIck. Jessi Klein ( writer for Inside Amy Schumer) plays Jessi ( I know right) a young woman who has just hit puberty and not sure what to do and you meet her her new friend. Missy voiced by Jenny Slate ( Bellwether from Zootopia) who is the most level headed of the group. Then you have the wild card Jay played by Jason Mantzoukas ( Sad sax guy from regular show,  Eagle wing Kroll show) he lives in a house of aggress…
