DC Continuity Issues

So with Batman v Superman out of the way and Civil War coming up, people can't help but compare and wonder why is DC so late trying to catch up? What if I told you this is nothing different then what happened before? In the late 80's early 90's, Tim Burton's Batman was the best comic book of all time and what did DC do to capitalize? They made cartoons! Batman the animated series is still to this day considered one of the best cartoons ever and for good reason, it simply rocks. Marvel witnessed the success of Batman and started cranking out cartoon show after show with such titles as Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Hulk, X-Men, and Spider- Man. Starting to sound familiar? Marvel wasn’t satisfied with just raining down shows on the happy geeky masses, it decided to bounce around characters from show to show; Spider- Man started to appear on X-Men, and vice versa.
